SKEY NETWORK LAUNCHES “SKEY CHALLENGE” : THE WORLD’S LARGEST CRYPTO COMPETITION FOR STARTUPS

• Global contest to develop the Blockchain of Things products of the future using SKey Network blockchain
• $1m USD prize fund to be split between winners

SKey Network, the world’s first connector combining the Internet of Things (IoT) devices with blockchain technology, has today launched the world’s largest crypto-based competition for startups designed to hyper-charge adoption of blockchain of things (BoT) products and technology.

In line with the launch of it’s own proprietary blockchain, Skey Network will be offering a total prize fund of $1m USD to be split between ten winners. The competition will be a catalyst for new BoT products, built on the Skey blockchain which will underpin the smart cities of the future.

The competition will open to any startup across the world from 1st December 2021 when the source code will be uploaded to GitHub. The competition will close at the end of January with winners announced in March 2021. Winners will also retain all rights of ownership to products manufactured as part of the competition — in line with SKey’s vision of being the connective tissue for the smart cities of the future.

SKey Network combines Oracle, BoT and DeFi technologies to create a unique access key called Smart NFT. These provide blockchain managed access to physical assets such as cars, apartment buildings or sharing economy assets such as smart bikes. Competitors are invited to look at any aspect of future smart cities and design a product to enable this.
