How does Sharing Economy work? The process and mechanism of using Blokchain of things
Is it impossible? It’s not! Ten years ago, nobody believed that in few years people will be able to pay for groceries with credit card without even touching a terminal. However, Sharing Economy is a little different — it’s not about faith in this phenomenon or lack of this faith. Despite being really slow, it is already happening.
Let’s imagine that eight residents of one apartment block raised money to buy a new Ford Mustang. Everyone wanted to drive it, but … there were only two keys. It was also necessary to distribute the car’s time evenly. What is the key (literally) in this story? A system that allows you to drive a car — and not just Ford Mustang — without the use of keys. Its name is Blockchaincars and it uses the SmartKey for this purpose.
BoT (Blockchain of Things) technology and digital payments provide such possibilities. The system is based on access to the car in the form of a subscription (prepayment) and is intended for people who want to rent a car for several days. Purchases can be made in the form of prepaid. Its essence is simplicity in adaptation anywhere in the entire world.
Today, in many areas of life, various systems replace human work: computers perform actions unimaginable for a human mind, robots take over business, vacuum cleaners clean apartments by themselves, when there is no one at home. This phenomenon is called optimization. And it is the same with Blockchaincars. The difference however, is that BCC and SmartKey are not created only for car sharing companies. This is the future of economics, or more precisely — the sharing economy. And this means that BCC technology is limited only by one thing: it can be implemented where there is logic of using Blockchain and SmartKey (BoT).
Let’s imagine something different: a company has built a hotel in Mallorca with 200 apartments. What if there were no reception staff in this luxury place, because guests would receive the keys to their rooms on their smartphone? Let’s go further: somewhere in New York stands a skyscraper with 300 offices and 300 SmartKey. Thanks to BoT, a manager would be able to grant access to offices, rooms etc.
Another example? Were going into the mountains on holiday and we do not want our apartment by the sea to be empty. Therefore, we transfer access using BoT to a group of friends who create a trusted HUB (group of people). And these people use our apartment, making small payments for its use during our absence. What’s more, the HUB can be a group (family or friends) that, thanks to SmartKey, will also be sharing cars, for example. The solution from http://blockchaincars.io/ is a real game changer in the industry.
Sharing economy is a new phenomenon in society (it represents 1% of the global economy), but it is the future — just like contactless payments 10 years ago. Take, for example, the current situation in Venezuela, where transfer of value is the current basis of economy. This country has gone from wealth to disaster. Maybe if Venezuelans had SmartKeys, it would have looked different?
