Announcing the SmartKey Rally Team: a new racing initiative, powered by blockchain

At SmartKey we are working hard to deliver on our vision of becoming the connective tissue for the smart cities of the future. A big part of our plan is managing access in the area of mobility.

That’s why we decided to establish our own SmartKey Rally Team which will take part in the Polish Rally Championship and consequently the Europe Rally Championship.

The series of race events will bring together various personalities from the world of blockchain, business, and entertainment. One of the results of this initiative will be the exposure of our brand to automotive companies from around the world.

Along with our driver, Polish national champion, Radosław Typa, who will take the wheel in a SmartKey branded car, our project is bound to bring a lot of attention. Ford Fiesta Rally3 is the four-drive car developed by the designers in the Cracow branch of M-Sport. It was created in accordance with the latest Rally3 class. It is equipped with a 215 HP EcoBoost engine with a capacity of 1.5 liters. The five-speed sequential gearbox is an ally for experienced drivers who like to tackle the most demanding special stages. The maximum torque is 400 Nm.

This partnership, which will run for a whole year, shows that SmartKey is prepared to invest long-term in visibility and marketing activities with real confidence. This runs in tandem with technological developments such as “Rescue without Barriers” for the emergency services in Olsztyn and other strategic partnerships such as Chainlink.

The spirit of openness and visibility distinguishes SmartKey from many other blockchain companies and by committing to a long term sponsorship, we are signaling our intention to plan for the long-term.

The next race will take place in the Town of Mikołajki in Poland on the 18th of June.
